Sultan Fat Ihza Abdillah

Dr. Sultan is a postdoctoral researcher with general interests in urban air quality and sustainable environmental systems. He received his M.S. (2023) and Ph.D. (2026) degrees from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU). His research focuses on ultrafine particles (UFPs), black carbon (BC), and other short-lived climate pollutants, integrating field monitoring, high-resolution emission inventory development, exposure modeling, and interpretable machine learning.
He has developed proxy-based, high-resolution BC emission inventories for Taiwan and conducted uncertainty and sensitivity analyses to support climate and health impact assessments. His work also extends to sustainability evaluations in industrial, energy, and transportation sectors using data-driven and decision-support approaches. During his Ph.D. internship at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2024–2025), he conducted traffic-related air pollution monitoring and developed high-resolution urban pollutant maps. His research aims to support evidence-based policies linking air quality, climate mitigation, and sustainable urban development.
