Tran Phuc Hanh Duyen - Emma
Dr. Tran Phuc Hanh Duyen (Emma) is a postdoctoral researcher who joined our laboratory in August 2025. She received her M.S. (2022) and Ph.D. (2025) degrees from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU). During her Ph.D., she completed a six-month research internship at The University of Tokyo, where she gained valuable international research experience and advanced skills in membrane technology and environmental engineering. Currently, she also serves as an adjunct assistant professor in our department, teaching courses on biological treatment processes and the application of membrane technology in environmental engineering.
Her research focuses on membrane bioreactors (MBR) and anaerobic MBR (AnMBR), with particular interest in quorum quenching (QQ) strategies to mitigate biofouling and enhance system performance. She aims to develop innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions for wastewater treatment and resource recovery.
